TMCP Vorovsky sent the last lot of MPT-6 maintenance vehicles to Turkmen Railways in August
In total the Turkmen Railways received 14 brand new track maintenance vehicles manufactured by TMCP Vorovsky. The last two lots were shipped in August 2014.
The new vehicles were required by Turkmenistan to replace outdated railcars of DGKu and AGMu types which were withdrawn from the railway market in the early 9os. The railways has been rapidly changing since then, as well as the special purpose rolling stock which has become more efficient, safer and more comfortable. With regard to the continuing increase in the length of railway tracks in the Republic of Turkmenistan, including the new lines of the transport corridor "North-South" we believe that the contract completed in August will be continued in 2015.
